A little something for Dad...

The Power of His Faith
The other day, a friend of mine was giving a lesson in primary about the priesthood. She told us, when she was younger, her dad was not an active member of the church. She was not able to go to her dad for Priesthood blessings.
It made me think about how easy it is to take this blessing for granted. I thought about receiving blessings from my dad when I was sick or scared and how grateful I was to have that power in my home.
And now, having my own husband able to provide these blessings for my children is something that I am truly grateful for. The other day, my 5-year-old was really sick. She needed a blessing, but Daddy was too far away, at work to come home and give her one. We called my father-in-law and he was able to rush home from work to give her a blessing. Within minutes, she was feeling better. She turned to me and said, "those priesthood blessings sure are a miracle, aren't they?"
That was the best testimony of the priesthood I think I have ever heard.
On this Father's Day, I just wanted to do something to honor these special men, the Father's in my life, and thank them for honoring the priesthood they hold. They are truly passing on a legacy of faith.
